Raw Chocolate Milk

here's a better alternative to sugar-laden chocolate milk. My Sprouts love it, but then again, I don't give them other options!!

Raw Chocolate Milk
2 c. water
1 c. cashews (almonds work well but pulp must be strained before using)
1/2 c. maple syrup or dates
3 T. raw cacao powder or carob powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
dash cinnamon
8 drops peppermint oil (opt. for mint chocolate milk)

If you use cashews blend with water until creamy, then add the rest of the ingredients and blend again. If you use almonds, blend almonds with water and strain through metal sieve or nut mylk bag.

Add remaining ingredients, blend until creamy. Pour into a pan and warm on the stove until warm to the touch or up to 118 degrees. Serve warm. YUM!
